About
B.F.A. in Production Design, minor in Film. Experience includes film sets, independent projects, theater, and themed entertainment. A multimedia artist blurring the lines between filmmaking and fine arts, emphasizing emotional states.
Veronica Garcia-Parra grew up beneath the wild canopies of the Venezuelan mountains before uprooting her childhood to Florida. A stranger in both worlds, she found solace in creative expression to make sense of life, fueled by curiosity for the world, creativity, and the limitless possibilities that art offers.
Ever since she could hold a pencil, Veronica has been creating. Her passion for the movies began in high school, where she learned the crafts of set design, makeup, and animation, specializing in makeup design and special effects for a few years. However, she yearned for more: to tell her own stories and create worlds.
Inspired by avant-garde artists such as Stan Vanderbeek, František Kupka, and Charlie Kaufman, experimentation and exploration are central to her creative ideals. Their fearless approach encourages her to go into the unknown and push the boundaries of her craft.
Her world blends philosophical musings with dreamlike creations. Translating strangeness and vulnerability into visual storytelling that feels both uncanny and deeply human, echoing themes of self-exploration and the meaning of life. For her, art is a way to confront life's complexities and celebrate its wonders. As she continues experimenting with storytelling, she aims to spark meaningful conversations and inspire others to embrace their individuality.
In her free time, she cherishes exploring unknown places, especially in nature, singing and playing folk tunes on her guitar, and grounding herself in her meditative practice.
