The Protectors of Zigria
In the dystopian, sci-fi adventure animation short "The Protectors of Zigria," the story unfolds on the planet Zigria, which faced collapse due to pollution millennia ago. A dome structure over the main city saved the population from the toxic outer world, fostering a thriving society within. However, new threats from "The Wastelands" persist, including the legendary mutant creature known as "The Diho," which seeks the destruction of Zigrians. Cecil, head of the Bureau of International Defense, assembles a team comprising Guinnevere, a top marksman; Vicky, a brilliant scientist; and Ava, a skilled agent. Together, they must defend Zigria against the awakened Diho.
These storyboards depict the main action sequences of my animation short, offering a visual narrative of the story's progression.

Guinnevere, a skilled marksman, is driven by her father's legacy, channeling her grief into a relentless pursuit of excellence. Vicky, a brilliant scientist, is passionate about fighting pollution and improving lives, driven by compassion and a desire for change. Ava, a skilled and determined agent, is known for her unwavering resolve and no-nonsense attitude, despite struggling with her own vulnerabilities. Together, they form a formidable team dedicated to protecting Zigria from imminent threats.
Character Sheet
Set Design scale model of the B.I.D Laboratory
Constructed at a 1/4" scale with clay, wood, foam, plastics, acrylic glass, beads, and wires. Inspired by classic horror/sci-fi films like Metropolis, and Frankenstein the lab exudes a timeless yet futuristic look with its monochromatic palette and dynamic forms. The architectural shape of the lab is a mix of organic and geometric forms. For example, the stairwell features an organic touch with tentacle-like black vines and geometric spherical lights. It also has a “Space Age” design look in some aspects. It serves as a research center for the Bureau of International Defense (B.I.D). It features retro tech elements, including monitor panels inspired by the interior of a Tango-class Submarine B-396. The telescope, reminiscent of late 19th-century models, plays a key role in the storyline. Crafted with attention to detail, the lab showcases a resin glass dome, a sculpted creature in a vat, and lighting engineered into the space.
