The Turn- Film
Written, Directed, Produced, Designed, & Edited by Veronica Garcia
In an endless, ritualistic card game, Sol faces her own reflection through a deck of herself. As the illusion fractures, she is forced to confront the boundaries between self and other. The Turn is a surreal, short film confronting the illusions we build around identity, control, and purpose, and how striving for meaning can become a trap in itself.

A short story I wrote along with a short storyboard animatic, envisioned as a stop-motion animation. Seline, a musician in a gray cityscape, is blind to the vibrant colors beneath the surface until she discovers she holds the power to create the beauty and happiness she seeks.
The Thief
Co-Written, Directed, Designed, & Edited by Veronica Garcia
Forced into a routine of petty thefts for her boyfriend, a young woman performs each night like it’s a role she can’t escape, until one brief encounter stirs something real beneath the act. The film explores performance as survival and the cycles of control in abusive relationships. At its core, The Thief explores how love and control blur, and how small acts of defiance can feel like escape.
